Dalia Kebabs


  • 1/2 cup Cracked wheat /Daliya / Fada
  • 3/4 cup Mix vegetables chopped
  • 2 cup Potatoes / Aloo boiled and mashed
  • 3 tbsp Fresh Coriander / Cilantro / Hara Dhaniya chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Sabut Jeera
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli powder / Laal mirch powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Mango Powder / Amchoor Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 4 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 1.5 cup Water / Paani


In a pressure cooker add 2 tsp of cooking oil.

Add cumin seeds and daliya and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat. Now add chopped vegetables and 1.5 cups of water. Pressure cook on medium heat for 3 whistles.

Spread the cooked daliya on a plate to cool down completely. Add mashed potato, chopped coriander and all the spices in the cooked daliya and mix well.

Grease your palms with little oil and make round patties of medium size and keep aside.

Heat 1.5 tbsp of oil in a non stick pan. Shallow fry the patties in batches on medium heat to a nice golden color. Drain the patties on a kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil.

Serve hot with ketchup or any tangy dip of your choice.
