Dalia Soup


  • 1cup Broken wheat (Dalia), washed & soaked for one hour
  • 1/2 cup Steamed corns
  • 1/2 cup Cheese, cut in cubes
  • 2 Chopped carrots
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 inch finely chopped ginger piece
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1.5 litre Water
  • 1 tbsp Ghee or butter


Heat butter or ghee in a pan. Add ginger & garlic and sauté for a while. Add chopped onions and sauté them till they become transparent. Add carrots and corns & sauté them for a while. Now add broken wheat, salt and pepper in it. Mix well. Add 1.5 litre of water in it. Cover and cook. When it is cooked, add soya sauce and tomato sauce in it. Stir well. Add cheese or tofu & lemon juice in it. Mix properly. It’s ready!
